Portal not recording my achievements

So I got fed up playing in the cyber-caffe and i decided to buy the Orange Box (retail) . And so I did. I installed only TF2 and Portal for now . While TF2 is updating i decided to play Portal.Everything was working fine except it will not record achievements.I get the fully powered portal gun , and i get no achievement. I bump the turrets with a turret - still no achievement.Is this a bug ?

Btw , i updated portal when i installed it .

omg nevermind >_< i was running in commentary mode.
