Hi guys,
This is a similar fix to what every body else is doing, but it seems to be the only fix that works for me.
Disclaimer: The fixes other people have released so far haven't worked for me so far, but this one has. There's no guarentee this will work for you!
It's pretty easy and very similar to the others:
1) Right click on Team Fortress 2 and select Properties.
2) Click on Set Launch Options...
3) Type "-safe -safemode" without the quotes
Set your video options to full screen and your normal resolution. I have 1280x1024 full screen resolution. I have a problem wherein if I do this, the mouse cursor isn't aligned correctly. This means if I have to select a certain option in the menu, I actually have to position the cursor on the one below - this is pretty annoying.
Anyway, after you've managed to navigate into a server, you will find that everything is working correctly. Surprisingly, although it didn't work with any of the other fixes I've tried, bringing up the scoreboard works fine for me as well. Which means you should be able to get some pretty seamless play without crashing.
However, I do occasionally get a message saying my graphics driver has stopped responding and has restarted, and other random crashes, but at least I've managed to clock up a few hours gaming today!
Let me know if this helps, or not.
Regards,

I think only one of these commands work, but I haven't tested which one yet so just put both.
4) Launch the game. It will run in 640x480 windowed mode.I suspect that this command does something extra too, because as I say, none of the other fixes I have tried have worked.
