How do you think this notebook will preform on Half Life 2?
Dell Inspiron 9200:
-2.0GHz Pentium M
-1024MB Ram @ 333MHz
-128MB ATI Mobility Radeon 9700

nothing great, dont expect anything, youll play it but with laggs here and there and what not, lets just say the game wont be enjoyable.

anyway, thread hijack

why dont games have teh real names of cities or weapons for instance CS weapons and san adreas. instead of orange county they call it red county, compton is canton. wtf, ak47 is cv47

so if they used LA rather than SA then the city of la would get a cut out of it? or what i dont get it, if they called it the ak47 is cs, mikael would get a cut also? wtf? seriously how do you pay a city?

I see. Thanks for the input. I'll rethink what notebook I should get.

Personally, I would rather have a fictional city named San Andreas than one named after a real city because you can make the city however you like and not be criticized for making it unrealistic. I guess...

As for the weapon names... Yea, it bugs me when they clearly model a weapon after a real one and call it something else. I dunno, that licensing stuff is weird. Must be business stuff.

you can get more performance for a cheaper price building a desktop than a laptop. so rethink about playing games on a laptop.

Actually that will be more than enough for high quality settings. A 2GHz Pentium M...mobile 9700...1GB of memory. You should be set.

You might not be able to play at high resolutions but 1024x768 with AA/AF is more than enough.

I don't know about AA/AF. A mobility 9700 performs like a 9600 Pro. He still will run with high quality settings, just minus AA and AF.

Oh he could use 2x AA or AF. I know I would...
It will run well none the less, just test the settings to what is playable for you.

By the way, read the stickies.
