Preload and purchase?

Hey, I'm just wondering...
If I preload Half-life 2 on to my computer, but then go out and buy it through EB, does all the prelosion go to waste? Or can I just input my cdkey and unlock the game?

ya it will work ur buying the same files at the store and y would u want to upload the files when they come in the box

i did that hawk...just for the reason so i knew how much space i needed to clear. And yes that will work, just pop in the cd key and unlock those .gcf's and away you go. Either way if fine, just it'll be 2 minutes longer to install if you dont pre-load ( ouch )
