The movie was FANTASTIC. But im a bit confused. Was the man who originally performed the transporter man have a clone as well? If so, how did he obtain it? I know how the second man (one who went to tesler) did it.

Yes I may have misspelled prestiege

And Telsa. :D
And people are going to eat you alive for not having SPOILER tags on any of that.
SPOILER!
The first man has no clone. He has a normal twin brother.

One of the better movies I saw this year. Definatley tied with Children of Men.

The craziest thing is the fact that Jackman (forgot his name) killed and cloned himself EVERY night just waiting for the one time Bale would come to the show under the stage.

I dont get why the clones didnt know they were going to die. I mean, if he cloned himself and all his thoughts transfered over, would they know the plan also?

Thats the point. He just kept on killing himself over and over, which is why they zoomed out at the end if you know what i mean.

Still an awesome film. Very cleverly linked together, and makes you think and discuss it for ages at the end i found.

9/10.

Bale's character had a twin brother, but Hugh Jackman's didn't. He cloned himself with the tesla machine.

Bale's brother also chopped his fingers off to keep it looking like they were the same person. They lived 1 life as 2 people. That's why 1 of them wasn't in love with the other one's wife so kept fighting with her, then fell in love with the other girl.

Jackman's character wouldn't remember what dying was like because Jackman drowns after the clone is created, so the "prestige" clone doesn't know what drowning feels like.

The tragedy is that Jackman keeps drowning just like his wife did night after night, just so he can be the prestige.

Im thinking, Isnt the *jackman* that appears far away the clone, and the one that drowns the original? So im thinking, the original jackman dies, clone clones self, first clone dies, and so on? Because it would be weird that the original would be teleported, and in its place lies the clone, makes more sense that the clone appears in a distance.

What a great movie. Bale is the man! So is Bowie!
