They look different to because for one thing, that tiscali pic caught the antlion guard in the middle of having a good ol' scratch, so it looks a little odd, and the tiscali pic is also from the DX9 vid that VALVe released, and is therefore shinier and bumpier than the one in the other pic...

And yes, I know we haven't seen Antlion eggs, but that was the only way to make the joke fit...

Wonder if there's more than one class of Antlion we haven't seen yet? Maybe some larger, flying male antlions? (Assuming antlions live in a hive)
