There was a thread earlier about that.
I can;t find it now, but long story short, it's not a secret code or anything. It just can't be read.

YEAH, Some 3 combine letters only seen in the game.

I was glad Valve decided not to go with a more alien Combine soldier (ie, the grubworm looking thing). Somehow fighting a grubworm doesn't sound like a very dangerous or fun proposition.

I was also surprised and at the same time glad that Valve didn't go with something more intimidating and scary-looking for the Combine Advisors.

What else could it look like? The Xenomorph queen in Aliens?

Some sort of squid or something?

I can't think of anything much better.

I'm not quite sure. I don't think they should go the "big scary monster with lots of sharp teeth" route, but for some reason a caterpillar doesn't sound particularly intimidating either.

I like all the metal stuff to allow movement, that pretty much made the advisor for me.

All your base are belong to us?
Vaccination records?
Fight antennae cancer?

nono

Baykuns Baykuns Baykuns.

Ill go raid the other thread now muahahah

What about a caterpillar with psychic-blast attacks, a vast intelligence, and some nasty friends?

Imagine a battle in Episode Two, with the Adviser using telekinesis to hurl thing at you, while you use the gravity gun to fling them away, taking damage from the mind blasts, and somehow finding enough time to grab a gun and blast away at the pod's casing until the creature is exposed, and then pumping its soft flesh full of bullets.

We'll see in September anyway.

Yes, we certainly shall. I thought the psychic attacks were pretty cool, I must admit.

Im sure its also strong enough to use it telekinesis to make a shock wave to send you bullets flying in other directions.

I CAN SEE IT. You fire many shots at it, then blam. It knowcks the bullets away in a shockwave a few hit Alyx. She bleeds and drops to the floor moaning and crying. The advisor loses his attention toward you bullets as you spray him with bullets, much more angrier at the situation. Then i guess you have an ending. Gman pops in and EITHER puts you back in statis and brings alyx to healing OR tells the player that the gman is acctually alyx

omg, i see it too. a final battle with a advisor in ep2. i see it! i see it!!!

i bet u battle the combine advisor and when u shoot it it tears open like paper revealing dr. breen and the g-man inside immersed in a heated game of half-life style checkers

G-Man: I call Gordons!
Breen: Eff you I dont want Shepards!
G-Man: d00d shepards are waaay better trust me
Breen: fine but i get first move then
...
G-Man: FREEMAN ME!
Breen: Aw f*ck this im leavin!
G-Man: Dont forget our deal breen ... If I win you go into stasis and I get a free BJ!
Breen: OH GOD!
G-Man: Relax Breeny ... it stands for Breen Job.
Breen: Oh wtf is a Breen Job?
G-Man: Kinda like what u did with earth. You hand your body over to me on a silver platter. *rubs hands together in excitement*
Breen: AAAHHHHHHH!!! *trys to make a run for it*

Then Gordon picks up Breen with the supercharged gravity gun, throws him back at G-Man, and they both are vaporized with G-Man's briefcase being the only thing left behind. Gordon slowly walks over, picks up the briefcase, opens it, and looks inside. He finds nothing but several playgirl magazines and several other reading materials of the homosexual persuasion.

Gordon: LAWLAWLAWLAWL G-MAN STANDS FOR GAY-MAN!

The universe then collapses on itself leaving nothing but blackness and a giant Lamarr chuckling while playing the sitar and chewing on a slim-jim.

hahaahha i love that ending

oh i thought it was sarcasm

it was sarcasm ... i was implying that the nazis were evil despite the culture of their place of origin ... you took this as me claiming the germans in general were evil when, clearly, i was not.
