Question on Everyone's minds: new weapon in Episode Three?

Isnt the borealis an Aperture science experiment gone wrong? (for those who doesnt know, aperture science is the facility the game Portal is played)
If so, maybe we can have something like the Portal gun in our hands in episode three?

I hope to see the return of the hand held Tau cannon. But as for a new weapon a cool idea would be to see a charged grav-gun burst that when fired would create a bubble of....funky gravity and lift stuff. Think singularity from Mass Effect. It could be on an ammo count to prevent abuse.

I too want a new outfit for Alyx. I hate seeing characters wear the same thing all the time even when they have time to change.

The HL2 arsenal is perfecly balanced imo.

Defo want to see Alyx in a new outfit.. be abit stupid if shes walking in the freezing cold with them dirty, damaged clothes she has now.

Okay, let's toss some ideas.
What about a flechette launcher, like what the Hunters use?

I like this idea. I also think that any new weapons will fire unconventional ammo. the crossbow fires pieces of re-bar and you have to lead your target, the AR2 alt fire launches bouncing spheres of disintegrating energy, a rocket launcher that you can maneuver with a targeting laser. Think about it, the combat of HL2 thrives in part because of these unconventional weapons. In Episode 2 they added the hunter flechette. and I would not mind a new odd addition to the arsenal.

Yes, I would love having snarks again, there were so many occasions in HL1 when snarks were the perfect weapon to use.
