Is it worth getting? I'm sorely tempted, but I'm not sure whether it'd be a waste of £20 or whatever.
That is all.

It's a really nice through to flip through and show to friends. If you'd rather spend it on lunch though then it's fine. I thought it lacked actual models and HL1 info though.

I think it's really good. Get it if you have the opportunity.

It's apparently worth buying. Personally I spend all my book money on Transmetropolitan but I've never heard anyone saying "eurgh, I bought Raising the Bar and it was rubbish!"

It's mainly art work and stories about the development of HL1, CS, ...

Yes, it's worth it.

Only 20-25% of the book is about CS/HL1.

It's a must have if you're a Valve fan.

It's real nice to have, you'd learn a little bit from it as well... it's a quick read though.

I found it facsinating. So much so, in fact, that I wrote a review on it a while ago here.

I'd get it if I didn't have to order it online.

Don't they sell it in any stores near you?

Stores such as? Book stores? I am not sure I haven't checked. Or perhaps computer game stores? Or maybe Blockbuster has it...

Hmm, I really should buy it already. I consider myself a blatant Half-Life fanboy and yet don't own a copy... instead I've gleaned information from the numerous Speculation threads over the years, many of which were formed with help from those who own a copy

It'd be good to have a little more inside information for one thing- although, perhaps, the more canon details I know of, the less liberties I'd be prepared to take with the storyline- and I'm not sure whether that's good or bad :P

It should be available in most bookstores.

It's on the Walmart website as well, so I assume they may sell it in there. I'm not familiar with any other stores in the US really, but it should be in bookstores and gaming stores like it is here in the UK.

It's one hundred percent worth the money. I bought it at Best Buy, by the way, vegeta.

Yeah its good, it sits on top of my tower, which i rest my feet on. I don't read it really anymore. I'll lend you my copy if you wanna have a read Chi?

Does anyone know where I could buy one of these in Lithuania? :)
Seriously, I have checked every single major bookstore in the capital city and there was no Raising the bar:frown:
