RakuraiTenjin's Anti-Obama thread

Or, you just stop visiting this forum during the election period?

No, you're the one who has a problem with it. We're enjoying ourselves, so go be sour somewhere else.

I'm for a "Stern's Anti-McCain thread."

I'd start one, but I dont want to be hypocritical and be a thread spammer, because then I would have to make a "Krynn's Anti-too-many-threads-from-one-person Thread."

best be making 3 threads; mccain, palin and republican stupidity in general ...oh and at least my threads are a. entertaining and b. not alarmist twisting of the truth or outright lies

I just dont understand what the big issue is here....the vast majority of the American members on this forum oppose Obama...most of the European members support him...why is it so wrong that the people who are actually affected by this election voice their opinions??

This couldn't be further from the truth. How did you come to that assumption?

Well from what I can see based on locations...its hard to say where someone is when their location isnt actually what part of the world they are in....good luck registering in the trouser district ;)

I don't have the slightest problem with that, I have a problem with him thinking that making $250k a year doesn't qualify as a buttload of money. Which it is. In fact, if two people make that much money together, one of them would be making about twice as much as both my parents did together. If you make $250k a year, you're rich, and you can afford to pay higher taxes.

Of course, how could I forget? I'll take my socialist, welfare loving, gun hating, hippie ass someplace else. Maybe Cpt. Stern has room in his house???

It's all part of the ridiculous fantasy that anyone and everyone will make it to Rupert Murdoch / Ted Turner / Bill Gates level of wealth. They think that they'll be roadblocked at $250,000, and that Obama is some how putting a damper on the American dream.

It is true that in this country $250,000 is a pittance next to the wealthiest percentage(s) of the population. But it definitely doesn't mean becoming exorbitantly wealthy will become impossible, either. The republican party has become a party of the paranoid, disillusioned rural population and the hording, privileged bourgeoisie, who want to hold onto their money.

I personally think that the only fair way to tax the people is a flat percentage tax all across the board...the rich pay more in taxes than the poorer...

This statement is directly contradictory.

No its not. They pay the same percentage in earnings, so those who make more, pay more...

flat tax is fairer than a progressive system, but it's STILL unfair theft.

A sales tax is fair and just, and acts more progressively against higher income while at the same time not forcing payment. It is TRULY the "Fair" tax

Guys don't you understand? Losing an additional 3% of a >$250k wage will force many into bankruptcy, most will end up homeless on the streets begging!

Many WILL go into foreclosure on their home. This will disrupt the banking system even further AND further cripple the homebuilding industry (where I happen to work as well)

same thread can be made about stern.

No kidding. Might as well give him his own section. You can't try and stuff multiple threads into one just because you don't agree/like the subject especially considering the amount of threads on McCain and Palin.
