Is it supposed to be so short?
I went down the shaft, through the headcrab-pit, over the wooden fence, turned left, and fell in a well. Swam for a bit and found the exit. What's on the other side of the well?

Screens would be nice... not sure where u are?

No screens, soz.

At the end of Ravenholm, you get sent down a mineshaft. You pass through a cave filled with headcrabs which you leave by jumping over a wooden construction. Then you go left and *splash* a mine shaft filled with water. It looks like you can jump over the shaft. Anyone been there?

you go into the water, jump over the wooden beam blocking the route, carry on swimming for a bit more get out of the water, and start making your way towards a ramp full of zombies and a small train line that has a propellor blade attached that goes back and forward killing the zombies.. at the top of the ramp you end up in similar surroundings to what you were in during route kanal (minus the canal).

Well, I'll use spoiler tags like you do...

I remember being there when I beat the game, nothing special, just few health packs.

I thought the best decision VALVe made was not to make that level any longer. :E

the purpose of the mine it seemed to me was deprive you of your shotty ammo (pesky headcrabs!)

Thanks!

I am completly stuck. I have inched my way down to the bottom of the mine and managed to restock with ammo from the steel cage. Now what?

GO up the wooden bridge, go right, and then jump over fence.

I didn't use any ammo in there and managed to get out on full health etc. (didn't get hurt), i just went to this section of the wooden platform and kinda stood near the edge and all the headcrabs get in a pile below you and try and jump at you, but they can't reach so you just blast them back down with the Gravity gun, do it 3 times per headcrab and they all gone.

Lots of explosive barrels lying around down there...

You might also think to toss a few sawblades down before you jumped in the hole. I barely used any ammo in the whole game, except in street fighting and cases where I get mobbed.

Even if you kill all the headcrabs that you can see, a few more will appear when you jump down. Just run to the tunnel and walk the beams above it.

I ignored the headcrabs and ran.. ;p

Ditto, why waste ammo... one of the things i loved about this game is that you can do 90 percent of the killing with the grav gun and surroundings, its nuts

End of Ravenholm?

I have got through to the far end of the mines and killed the snipers along the rail track. I ahve also cleared the scrap car lot. Now where the hell do I go? I have spent the last three hours trying to go somewhere, anywhere!

Derek

Go inside the scrapcar building and besides a few more enemies, you'll find new friends who will launch you into the next episode.

In the mines, I chose to go up the stairs and then play headcrab baseball with the crowbar. When they jump at you, one thwack with the crowbar will kill them. If they jumped at me wrong they'd usually fly right over the walkway and have to go around and get in line with the others.

I backed into a corner and used my crowbar and played baseball :D, then I would edge along the wall and make a wild dash for the stairs
