I just reformated to XP, a downgrade from vista. Anyways, I install my network controller and it tells me its unplugged. Obviously its not so i restart, same error. Im installing the exact driver i had before the reformat so i have no idea whats wrong....any ideas why this would happen?

Im using Marvell PCI Express Gigabit LAN Controller, directly from my mobo manual

Thanks

ya, i got it to work, ill just say im retarded and leave it at that

Nah yar not a retard and we all do retard stuff every now and then. Retard-ness come with life. Some one says he/she never been a retard and what ya know he/she is so retarded at that exact moment (de de deeeee).

Let's all get retarded.

Yeah, I remember when I first reformatted I forgot to install my motherboard drivers, all the while wondering why my modem wasn't showing up XD

I installed my network driver, a few times, then tried other drivers, and then realized that just because there was 1 area connection not working, doesn't mean that there isn't ANOTHER one working the whole time. :)

But wow, I dont know why I got rid of XP, things WORK now

I'm going back to XP just for that, my motherboard doesn't fully support Vista just yet, there are so many unsupported devices (Motherboard components)in my device manager its not even funny.
Vista is still pretty immature. Most of my games are unrecognized by Vista specially the old 16bit games like SOF and DOOM.
Al keep my Vista CD and reinstall sometime next year probably after first service pack.
