Release Date Poll

With all the recent activity (and inactivity) a large percentage of forum members have taken sides, choosing which month they think is the most likely for release. I know this topic has been pounded into the ground, but I'm curious what the majority of members think.

And by the way, please don't turn this into a flame war

October looks to be the most likely month for release. September is nigh on impossible, unless the first RC is accepted immediately and VIvendi really pushes for those copies to be delivered worldwide.

I hope Vivendi is not looking at this poll - because it clearly shows that the majority of people are expecting it in October. They may have released at the end of Sep but now they know they don't have to.

Vivendi won't make decisions based on what 33 (at the time) people think.

IMO Vivendi will accept the first RC. I'll go so far as to say that they will have their CD printers ready the moment they approve the RC.

It is in their best interest to release this highly anticipated game as soon as possible to avoid competeing head-on with games like GTA:SA, MGS3, even though these games are console only. The PC market is ready, willing, and able to scoop up HL2 NOW and Vivendi knows that to delay the game any longer will only hurt sales.

November or December, Valve is a bunch of smart business people and they know better than releasing the game this early when they can release it in December and make it be the game of every kids wishlist, thus a much higher income and more explosive-like rate of sold copies.

I heard that it would go gold the 15th.... but we won't really know until that date./.. I hope well I don't really care which month, I'd really like christmas holidays so I can acutlaly play it! ahhaha
