Downloading :/ I'll let you know what I think.

Too many to report :P It's a noble first map.

I wouldn't go releasing this to be honest... the layout, architecture and overall theme of the map just aren't fluid, you've just randomly thrown things together.

You're getting there though, you've shown that you can build archways, gaps in walls, build stairs, rooms etc. just try and plan a layout and theme that will be constant throughout e.g. a bunker wouldn't have arabic archways randomly placed throughout it's corridors.

Keep on practising though mate!

Since when did I say it was a bunker?

TA for the tips anyway.

he will now put your email in every spam sie on the web ... so you get massive amounts of spam :)

He doesn't have to, the bots will pick it up.

That was the point I was making.

(refer yourself to how I edited your post so as not to repeat the same mistake).

I'm going to have to agree with everyone else.

It's a nice first map, but it's not release-level yet.

I can't play it since my game's not installed, but here's what I can see, based on the screens:

-The lighting is pretty bad. Pure red, white and green don't look too hot. Less primary colours would look much more realistic. Try extremely light green instead of white.
Also, a single round wall light like you have there might work, but with them everywhere, it looks out of place. Some more industrial lights would suit the area better.

-The hole in the wall looks pretty naff. I'd suggest displacements and/or prop debris instead of the jagged zigzag you have there. Also, the wall looks hella thick. I don't think too many places (other than bunkers) have over a metre of concrete, and if they did, I have no clue what would be able to blast a precise hole through it.

-You did good by using props sparingly (you might even want to add a few more), but the brushwork is way bare. Nearly the entire place is built out of featureless rectangles. Some support beams, shelves, pillars, borders, combine machines or just about anything that would break up the flattest walls would spruce some bits right up.
Use more textures too, honestly. It's almost entirely concrete and blue corrigated metal.
You'd also have to rely less on decals for detail that way.

-And, like some people said, the theme doesn't really come together, because it doesn't look like a real place. I can't tell if it's a sewer or military base or maybe a warehouse.

Maybe look up some photo references of whatever building style you're recreating?

But like I said before, for a first map, this kicks ass. I gotta applaud how it's not a killbox or the slightly better (but equally retarded) ratz style.
It looks like you've got a decent layout thought out, and it actually looks like a building and not a bunch of random props tossed in a barn. That probably puts you in the top 75% of new mappers.

So try some changes for a V 2.0 if you want, and keep stuff in mind for your next go.

Thanks a lot Mechagodzilla you've been extremely helpful. I think i will move onto something new. Mapping for CSS.

Here goes... (starts drawing a layout)
