Request for HL1 savegame just after Nihilith is killed

Upon the release of HL2, I first played HL:S for backstory. After coming nearly to the end, I found out that for some strange reason the Nihilith just wouldn't die. In desperation, I even turned on god and noclip, used impulse 101, and emptied 24 magnum rounds, 10 rockets, and uncountable grenades/mp5grenades into it's open braincase. It just sat there, spazzing out. So, I gathered a little basic background on what happend after, e.g. the g-man saying "work for me or die." Nevertheless, I'd love to get a savegame from just after the nihilith dies (I'm thinking immidatley after, maybe even still showing the death animation) from HL:S. Failing that, some instructions as to how to take down the nihilith would be great. Thanks!

You can't just kill nihlanth with weapons. You need to shoot the crystals on the walls, then use those bouncy things to get to the top of him and pwn is brain with weapons.

Actually, you can select the final G-Man chapter in HL:S straight away.

It kinda is instantaneous, actually. When he dies, he starts spazzing out, green bolts arc offa him, then the screen goes black like you just got teleported and you suddenly wake up in front of the G-Man.

Freaked. The Nihilith DID spazz out and start spewing various colors of bolts. Maybe having god mode on screwed up the script. Oh well *goes and loads up that chapeter in HL:S*

I think it's a bug... it happened to me a couple times in HL1. Nihilanth is just spinning round with electricity shooting off him? All you can do is load the next map, I don't know the name

Hmmm, I replayed HL regular recently (prior to HL2 coming out) for the first time using the steam version. I've noticed many gameplay bugs in the steam version that were never in the original (played it 7 times through). I also found that when I came up to nihilanth, it took me a long time to kill him, like about 5 trips over his head shooting in tau blasts, det packs, RPGs and gluon fire. Eventually he died, though. The other times using the original version of the game it took like 1 or at the most 2 rockets, or 1 det pack.

Maybe HL:S has the same problem for some people because it's using Steam?

Last time I played HL1 through, I couldn't get the jumps right after Nihilanth's head opens and was hopping around pathetically too low for it to be worth me shooting at it.

Suddenly, for no apparent reason, Nihilanth spontaneously went into its death animation anyway and I got the end sequence. :O

Um... a suicidal Nihilanth? Weird.

yup, it did. If ayou wan't to have nihilith die, you have to turn of all cheats, or else he'll just sit there speweng green bolts.
