Rubicon is an American television series created by Jason Horwitch and produced by Henry Bromell that is broadcast on the AMC television network. The series centers around an intelligence analyst at a national think tank who discovers that he may be working with members of a secret society that manipulates world events on a grand scale. The series stars James Badge Dale, Jessica Collins, Miranda Richardson, Dallas Roberts, Christopher Evan Welch, Michael Cristofer and Peter Gerety.

The series debuted on AMC on August 1, 2010[1] as a two-hour, two episode block. With two million viewers, the August 1 premiere set a record as the most watched debut of an AMC original series.[2]

The series is influenced by conspiracy films of the 1970s such as All The President's Men, Three Days of the Condor and The Parallax View,[3] which find an innocent character caught up in, and slowly unraveling, a major conspiracy.

Just watched the pilot at last, was quite interesting.

I watched it after the Breaking Bad finale, and I went away having no idea what the hell I just watched. I think it was, good? Maybe if I watch it eight more times I can actually comprehend some of what was going on.

I've been watching it since there is nothing else on before Mad Men. And I'm enjoying it so far.

I just started watching yesterday and I really like this show. It's a little confusing, but shows like this always are. Watching the third episode in five, four, ...

Episode 8, "Caught in the Suck", airs tomorrow night. Does anyone but me still watch this show? It's getting really good.

h8 tav. You better be all caught up by midnight tonight or I'm going to start having your office bugged.

I just watched the latest one last night. It's starting to get really good and picking up the pace nicely. I can't tell if that one guy (I'm horrible with names) is working with him or against him.
And at the end was he actually talking about her drug problem or the fact she witnessed torture?

Do you mean Will's boss Kale Ingram? I can't figure it out for sure either, but I think
he had Maggie spy on Will to see if he could be trusted as an ally, which might end up backfiring in some way since Maggie only really paid lip service to her spy duties, thanks to her feelings for Will.

I'll have to rewatch the episode to answer your spoiler though :P

Yeah, that's the guy.

With the spoiler I think they meant to leave you hanging like that, but I'm not really sure.

At the end conversation with Spangler, it's definitely the former and not the latter.

[edit] For anyone who's only taken a cursory look into the series, or is wondering whether it's worth it to continue watching: it is. Things are coming together at an accelerating pace. All you have to do is pay attention and keep the conspiracy threads open when it seems like nothing is happening.

from what i've seen it looks like this series is a slowburn. gotta wait to see if the payoff is good. TV that requires patience is risky.

New episode tonight, "No Honesty in Men". I really can't wait.

Will's new
girlfriend
seems like a bad influence. Can she be trusted? She doesn't seem to be a part of the Atlas-McDowell group, but she does seem to be
too caught up in the mythos of a gun-toting spy.
When will Kale show his true colours? What will become of Tanya when she returns to API? How does Qateb factor into the conspiracy? FIND OUT NEXT WEEK IN THE THREAD THAT NOBODY READS

I thought the latest episode was quite good, kind of need to watch it again, I was on the edge of sleep due to sleeping pills so cant remember too much, but I remember Spangler planting seeds of misguided loyalty for Grant which should be interesting,

I wonder when Will and Katherine Rhumor cross paths again and share their information to solve this... whatever this is.

Yeah I'm really liking the mind games Spangler is playing with everyone, especially with Kale in this ep. I'm also glad I'm not the only one who sees him manipulating Grant and Tanya into his allegiance.

Will be getting into this show soon enough, seems interesting enough.
Tried watching the first episode when it aired but I fell asleep. :D

So it was rehab after all for Tanya. Yeah, the new

girlfriend

Is messed up in the head pretty badly. Should be interesting to see where it goes.

Come to think of it, I'm starting to wonder whether she's a double agent. But it might be too elaborate and circumstantial for Spangler to bother arranging.

I think she's way too crazy to be a double agent, but I sort of get that feeling too just because it would be the expected result in a TV drama.

Thank god this show doesn't throw itself at clichés. :D

if you want double agents and fast pace watch 24, this is RUBICON BUTCH!

We enjoy our 70's throw back conspiracy thrillers.

Until I watch that episode again, all I can say for now is... holy shit.

Holy shit.
