(taken from http://forums.acomba.de/index.php?)translation: According to the website Halflife2-world ((Link: http://hl2.games-ring.de/index.php?...etail&newsid=54)http://hl2.games-ring.de/index.php?...etail&newsid=54), the production of HalfLife 2 might have been stopped because of financial problems of the company.
"Valve's present project "HalfLife 2" was stopped. The reason for this is probably the leak of the "HalfLife 2" sourcecode, which also included the complete sourcecode of the Havok physics engine. Havok submitted a complaint against Valve because of the violation of their contract. An U.S. court has now decided that the company Havok is entitled to recieve a compensation of US$ 18.000.000 from Valve. A proof can be found in the U.S. lawsuit catalogue.
not sure if this has been posted or not.
