I've recently reinstalled GTA San Andreas. It's basically running at too high a framerate even with the frame limiter on (this thing is supposed to drop it to 25FPS isn't it??)

Does anyone know how I could solve this?

Umm...why is it bad if it has a high framerate? Also...25fps would be pretty shitty. If your going to limit it don't put it lower than 60 as anything below 60 is noticable.

It's too fast though, it jerks, runs fine one minute and then cars and time will speed up.

Makes the game pretty unplayable :(

Its true, it feels very smooth though. I took the frame limiter off for a while and got used to it in Vice City, felt weird going back to the PS2 version.

Well I just installed Fraps to capture video and show you guys what its like but it turns out when I record with Fraps the Frame Limiter starts working and evens out to 25.

How random is that?!

What spec do you have?

It sounds like the same same problem I have with Boiling Point (I think everybody does), most likely because of a memory leak. GTA on the other hand runs okay for me, which leads me to the above question. Whats your processor and RAM?

Should have made it more clear. Anything above 60 isn't noticable when you change it. 30 seems to be the accepted min without it looking like crap but it is still noticably slow compared to 60.

God knows? I don't have duel core. My mate had the same problem, he fixed it, by doing that.
