YES!!! Here it is!!

Thankyou Valve!! FACE POSER!! AND OTHER STUFF!!!!

I don't know! If you look at game updates under the SDK it says Nov. 30 as the date, but shows the Face Poser, a Sample MOD (With Vehicles!!!) a sample character model, and other stuff!!

EDIT:
The current SDK release has added these features:

Simplified directory structure.
Face Poser application added.
VConfig added, new tool to select game configurations.
A "Reset Game Configurations" option has been added to the SDK Launcher.
The Hammer Options dialog now reflects the selected Current Game.
Added default Expert compile settings in Hammer.
Viewmodel sources for Half-Life 2 included.
Simplified debugging under Steam - no need to copy steam.dll and make steamapp.cfg.
Added sdk.fgd, containing the entities in the programming tutorial.
SDK Launcher startup time is much faster.
The issues have been resolved:

Fixed issue with Hammer not copying .bsp to game directory.
The buildcubemaps console command should now function correctly.
Fixed for various cases of path environment variables not working.
Fixed detail props not being generated by vbsp.exe.
The previous SDK release contained these new features:

The ability to edit Half-Life 2 levels and custom MODs.
Includes all the game source code for Half-Life 2 and a sample multiplayer mod (Create a Mod).
Source code for the compile tools.
Documentation on programming for the Source Engine.
Additional documentation on content creation.
A number of additional sample maps.
Sample models.
A Source Engine model exporter for Maya.

Yay I can finally test my maps without compiling, moving and then running!

Yeah, it took me a while to download...

But right now I am having a problem running Face Poser. (Darn you Valve!)

:)

Err... wasn't it simply possible to start HL2, compile your map, let the compiler copy it to the proper directory and then simply open the map in the console? Always worked for me.

Yeah it did to start with, then it stopped working last update.

Face Poser is great, haha I made the G-Man talk like Alyx and Mossman! But that's advanced as I can go, this is rocket science.

BTW: if you're having trouble to start up, just click on Reset Game Configurations.

I wonder if it will fix my blackout problem....the people\you\ and weapons are black...and only on maps i make, and temple2

Anyone have any idea on how to import .wavs into Faceposer?
It has a search, but no browse.

the updates sates:

"The ability to edit Half-Life 2 levels and custom MODs"

does this means that we can now open up the original half life 2 levels and see how they are made?

if so any any idea how to do this?

That's listed under "The previous SDK release contained these new features", so it's nothing new. Besides, they meant that you are able to create/edit new maps for HL2, not edit exiting HL2 maps...

I was under the impression that existing HL2 maps could be edited with SDK. Not a big difference for me since I never got SDK to work properly anyway. I will just download the entire thing once again and see if it works...

Don't worry Goethe, according to your warning level you won't be threadmining much longer....
