Their is a 'Prophet' Vortigaunt in a secret chamber in Water Hazard.....he the only character that actually tells you something about whats happened, however hes very cryptic

Actually there's another vortigaunt that tells you the same stuff ... somewhere along the coast, where you get to fight the first gunship ... NLO maybe? And if you keep on asking him question, the Vortigaunt will even recharge your suit (59 health points) :naughty:

There's stuff all over, some just not as overt as usual. And some you have to think about to get any relevence from.

Par example:
Below image links HL1 with HL2, plays on some of the anti-establishment graphetti used during the Vietnam war, and establishes racial (or wateva the word is for cross-dimensional folk) tension. All part of the scenery.

That would make sense as City 17 has a distinct 1984 feel to it. Very nice and subtle though.
