Server not responding

Me and my friend tried everything we could. Mixed our external ip and the last 5 numbers in the game ip and it does not work!

let me get this straight. your friend and you are trying to play HL2DM over the internet on a server that oneof you is hosting. when one of you host, the other is unable to join it. have you tried letting the other person host it and you join it or vice versa. if that doesnt work, then just try going on an empty server. you have not made your scenario very clear, so if this is not what is happening, try explaining your problem better
