Server Times Out. A lot.

This NEVER used to happen to me, but recently I can't stay in a server for more than 10 minutes consecutively, before I stop dead in my tracks, nothings moving, and that cursed little Warning sign appears at the top right corner, "Connection Lost" or whatever it says...

Then I have to find the server and reconnect all over again. It's painfully annoying, especially once I get warmed up...

I've tried tweaking around with the rates and stuff, but nothing happens..

I had that problem too but I think it was on the server end because when I switched to a differnt server it wouldnt happon anymore. So if thats true there is nothing you can do I'm afraid. You might contact whoever owns the server if it bugs you enough.

A lot of people stay there for 3+ hours without getting reconnected and have scores 50-40 (its a 24/7 nuke server...)

Oh well...Like you said, guess there's not much else I can do..But on a side note, do you know a good website that tells the best optimized rates for various connections?

I dunno, sounds like your connection wants to break up after 10 minutes.

Somehow everything is fixed :|

I joined the server early in the morning, no one was there, so I went to tweak the rates again, and found the best 'settings' and haven't had a problem since then..

I'd still like to know the best rates, other than trial and error I did yesterday

Well, I heard your FPS also partly defines your rates. It should be a bit of trial and error, because high rates can have high packet loss
