Shooting in flight ordance

I was watching the high quality HL2 trailer that Yahoo put up (the one minute sweep from the e3 2004's) and I noticed that when you shoot the Combine soldier on the crane with the rocket (the one who goes flying) he appears to begind shooting at the rocket itself. Does this imply you could ever shoot them down if you're lucky?

What do you think?

Just to clarify for the guy that made this thread, and for anyone else that thinks they've discovered something new. Of course you can shoot rockets down godamnit, it's in the E32k4 vid when he's in the hover boat. How annoying is it when people keep making threads thinking they've stumbled across some wonderous feature or bug that not even the creators of the game are aware of.

nah I didn't mean the mines, I meant when you see gordon in the hover boat getting shot at by rocket's and he shoots them and they split in half and drop into the water.
