Small bandwith, can i Install games from the 2 DVD's?

Hello,
i bought today "The Orange Box" in Germany.
But now Steam will downlaad all Games. I have a downstream from 50kb/s.
It will take my half life to download the games via the internet.
How can i install these games from the DVDs?

Of course you can install via DVD. Stop the downloading process and just insert the first DVD. An installation menu should come up in autorun.
Be aware that after installing from DVD Steam could check for available patches/fixes/updates and start downloading them. It is your choice to activate or deactivate this auto-updating process.

Uh it is the default if you stick the DVDs in instead of adding the key to steam. During the DVD install you'll be asked for the key but since you'd already added it that did not occur.
