It's gone, Cliffe from Valve confirmed it on these very forums. That's proof enough. Just bloody except it already.

Yes its gone, You will need to wait for 'raising the bar' for a full explaination, but it was to do with its animations looking crap when it had to do anything unscripted (thats what i heard anyway)

Personaly I much rather they cut stuff that doesnt work and perfect the good stuff, than include a heap of bad stuff for the sake of quantity.

It would be cool if they did something with the hydra where they made it like 100 yards long and 10 feet wide. They could make it like that movie deep rising. that would rock.
