Someone claming to be a valve employee posted a thread on reddit about Half Life 3

According to one of the admins of /r/Halflife he got a message from someone claiming to from valve who wanted to post a thread about the current state of Half Life 3. He gave the admin some proof and the admin gave the permission to post the thread. Then Valve apparently contacted reddit to take the thread down, and the thread was gone. Now people who are posting a copy of the thread are being deleted from reddit.

I don't what to think actually.
