[UPDATE 2]

Valve is now planning to make the move in September.

[UPDATE 1]

In January 2017, Gabe Newell said in a Reddit AmA that Valve was going to move on July 22, 2017.

[ORIGINAL]

Under construction just two blocks away from Valve's current digs at Skyline Tower, the Lincoln Square Expansion project will feature a new tower with 710,000 square-feet of office space.

Valve has leased 225,000 square feet of prime office space in the new office tower at Lincoln Square’s 1.5 million square foot expansion site. With the lease of floors 11 – 19, the company will encompass nearly one third of the total office space available in the new tower.

That's according to Kemper Development Company. This is a 100,000 square-foot expansion over Valve's current offices.

Valve is scheduled to move into the new space May, 2017.

Does anyone remember around what time period Valve moved last time? Were they inbetween games or actively working on one at the time?

Around March, 2010: http://www.gameinformer.com/b/features/archive/2010/03/29/valve-studio-tour.aspx

Actively developing Portal 2, and probably CS:GO and Dota 2, too. VR was just getting started.

1st office: 38,000 sq.-ft.
2nd office: 125,000 sq.-ft. (3.3 times larger than 1st)
3rd office: 225,000 sq. ft. (1.8 times larger than 2nd, 5.9 times larger than 1st)
