The combine running noise. I'm sure everyone is familiar with it. That particular noise that sounds like the combine are wearing diapers full of spare change.

Its not the noise that bugs me though. its the fact that rebels have almost no noise. The only way around this is to go with the metrocop model. However this gets a bit repetetive.

I propose that either everyone makes running noises or none at all. Cause it sucks that rebels have the ability to hear combine runnings around while combine players can't hear jack squat.

Yeah, but you can smell those dirty rebel hobos a mile away.

rebels = poor hippies = no money = no spare change in pocket

combine = employed = payed = spare change

another mystery solved...

pfft, HL2D isnt really a stealth game anyway. Who needs sneakyness when you have an RPG?

lol, if ya want a game for hearing footsteps come play 1.6 :P

true, there is very little sneaking in hl2 dm. However they should make things fair, considering that i can use their key jangle noise to pinpoint their position from around walls.

Life isn't fair. Deal with it!! Besides it's a bit of physcological warfare. You strike fear into the hearts of the rebels when you lug around. It's much like how the Nazis had whistles on their dive-bombers to scare the living shit out of anyone in the area.

um, no. There is nothing in hl2 dm that strikes any fear into me save going up against the $W clan. The jingle noise just gives the positions away of anyone who is not using the metrocop or rebel models. And in games with fewer players, that is a big thing.

(anyway i fixed my sig, woo hoo i had to fix 2 words.)
