Something I noticed (not important tbh)

In the bink video for the G-Man (the new one), I noticed that the G-man's eyes aren't quite correct.

What I mean is, take a pencil or other object, stand in front of a mirror, and move the pencil up to your nose. You'll notice that your eyes will rotate inwards to follow the pencil. The eyes do not remain parallel when looking at objects in close proximity.

When the G-man is speaking to you (Gordon) in that video, if you look at the eye on the left (the G-man's right eye), it is actually staring almost over your left shoulder.

Oh well, sorry, I'm only bored, but I thought it was worth pointing out. Like I said, its not really important (unless Gordon gets jiggy with any game characters).

I get that look when my wife is talking to me. One eye goes one way the other another. I usually get yelled at.....

Are you listening to me.

Yes G-Ma....err Honey.

G-man is supposed to have a lazy eye. I think that adds to the eerieness.

I emailed valve about this - and they said it's a design choice.

The G-Man has always been a little bit.... weird!:bounce:

Sorry, but when I empty multiple magazines of .9mm, and a few rockets into someone, and they just adjust their tie and walk off..... I classify them as really, really, REALLY weird. ;)

when they zoom in on his mouth in the video his mouth movements dont sync up with the speech you dont see me making a thread about it.

When i saw the G-man i saw exactly the same thing.

I thought either he's looking behind us (he doesnt know we're watching that close and it isnt intended to focus on us) or they meant for his eye to be like that (i know ppl who have dodgy eyes like that, f-hilarious at school "you boy!" ... who me? lol) OR they just ****ed up and they can't make the eyes focus that close.

If the g-mans eye was actually like that though, it'd be hard to know if it was intentional lol games get so damned gd :)

Have you seen Pirate of the caribbean the movie, where Johnny Depp moves in funny way Not just his body but his eyes as well (That makes him excellent actor) why cause he is drunk off course, The G-man movement just like Johnny Depp.

I can do that eye thing too, if I want.
But for some people, they can't control it.

I think it's cool how Valve has given it's characters more, um, character by not making them perfect.
In most games the biggest imperfection is that the huge muscle guy has a scar. Wheee.

Yeh I dont understand how people do that I tried it and i think i had it for one second.

His pupils are very small now that I look at them. I wounder if he can't see well in the dark.

(*sigh* that seems like a stupid statement by me :|, nevermind)

It's always looked to me like his entire head is slightly wonky, kinda like Alfred E. Neuman.

Hey, maybe he has a glass eye?

Maybe he's not even human? After all, he did stand around on Xen without an HEV suit on.

Um... Barney went to Xen, too. He didn't have any kind of breathing equipment, if that's what you're thinking of. Neither did the aliens when they came here.

Suggesting conditions on Xen aren't too different in certain ways from those on Earth.

When did Barney go to Xen!? I don't remember that at all, and I played it like three days ago.

Oh, didn't play that one. Would you recommend Opposing Force and Blue Shift? LOL maybe Barney's not human either!

OP4 is excellent, many people think so. Blue Shift you'll get more varying opinions on (Some of them quite negative), but I liked it, and it updates the graphics for HL, so I'd say, yes, get it. Can't be too expensive by now, anyway...

Yes, full games (technically expansions, but they show the experiences of completely different characters). OP4 felt about as long as HL, the way I played it, Blue Shift was much shorter.
