I have been playing a free mmorpg called ogame for 2 years. And I have found out many people in my school play World of Warcraft. The problem with this game though is you must pay a subscription fee. But the people say it really doesn't matter if you have a job. Can anybody tell me this game is worth it? It must be worth it if people play non-stop until they die (literally). I really want to play a demo of this game first before actually commiting myself to it. There was a free trial a while ago on ign but I didn't have a credit card at the time. So is there a way for me to try out this game? Thanks.

Find someone with the game and ask to use their 10-day trial key that comes with each WoW copy

The game is pretty good, I mean i've only played it for 638 hours.

well if you really think about it as well, your paying around 50 cents a day to play. and you get content constantly updated.

but yeah its fun.

Stuff like ogame and Planetarion dont really count as MMORPGs. You cant compare them to WoW or whatever.

Well, pretty much everyone plays WoW. I haven't played it myself by a few million people love it. I'd probably enjoy it if i played it, i just cant afford the subscription fee's atm.

Could I also get a free trial from a game store or some place else? Cause chances are my friends have already thrown away the box.

The trial comes when you buy the full version. That way they get you to spend 50 bucks play for 10 days and if you dont like it enought to pay 12-15 bucks a month then they still get 50 bucks and you get a few coasters.

Wow, am eery resemblance to the thread I posted on whether I should buy it or not. But I just started playing yesterday and did so for about seven hours. Yeah, it's good like the sweetest candy.

Its paper-and-pen based gameplay at its purest. Theres a UI, but nothing in the form of graphical representation of battles or base-building

just to chip in GW and its brand new addon Factions are a one time payment, really amazing graphics, and tight pve and pvp gameplay.

Possible alternative to WoW without the PPP mentality

Guild Wars my good man! Jolly good fun, and the expansion is pretty damn good...better than the original in my opinion.

Yeah thats what my friend said. For some reason Blizzard has this idea of, "stfu look at how many people play this game, don't ask any questions, just but the damn game already." Until there is another 10 day trial or something I might buy WOW in the future.
