Does anyone have a single clue of how much the Source license could actually cost ?

one hundred million dollars wuahahahaha!

jus kidding i duno but itll be really expensive considering how much the unreal engine costs.

The actual answer is that there is no fixed price. It depends entirely on your project, your funding, your distribution etc.

yes ive figured but there has to be a rough price to say, 10$, 1000$, 100 000$ :>

i guess itd be cheapest if you were selling it via steam.

The price is extremely variable. If you can afford alicence outright, then you can buy one. Or you can pay a lower initial price but pay more in royalties.

better get a publisher to buy it, but of course that isnt easy either =>

how do you contact valve about buying a lisence then do they have an email for that sort of thing

It's on the Source wiki.
However, they won't discuss licensing terms without you signing an NDA, and they won't even give you that unless you can prove that you're serious about licensing.

And I guess signing an NDA doesn't give you the liberty of discussing the price elsewhere?

That would be correct.

Is there a way to not sign the NDA physically, but doing it online ?

Nope. You can't have anything close to your real world signature online.

/me wonders what Garfield_ has up his sleeves :upstare:

I've actually signed contracts online using a bitmap of my signature. I doubt that Valve would accept it, though.

Well, if you ask me, your contractor [for lack or understanding of a better term] did an extremely stupid thing.

So you must sign the contract at Valve's office or send the NDA files with your sign by air from Sweden to USA ?

My employer in this case was also a family member, so it was all nice and safe.

Ever heard of fax?

Most professional NDA's need to be air-mailed because that in a fax you can distort the contrast, and easily tear off someone's signature from another piece of paper, slide it into place and send it and then when it gets received, if your contrast settings are right, it won't look out of place...

With a hard contract, there can be almost no foul play done.
