Ok im right at the part where Im taking down the ambush shields, after the huge INN shootout. I see its some kind of grenade puzzle, but how am I taking down this turret thing? Iv throw about 49 grenades over the little building and into the little shilded room but nothing happens.

This was a bit of a pain, but there's something you're overlooking...

you need to get on the roof of the "little building", and drop down behind the shield. As you face the secured room, there's a ladder behind you-- you have to crawl around a bit to get over there.

to clarify some...im at the area right after the shootout at the large house. This is where 3 hunters busted into the house. Theres the gas station with a very bloody dead rebel in it right next to the building im talking about. Im trying to take out the shields trapping the car.

In the shield power building, I dont even see how to get passed the first shield to get to the ladder so I can get passed the second shield.

This is where the car gets trapped between two shields, right? You had to backtrack up a switchback, following a cable to the generator, where you got attacked by a group of combine (soldiers and hunters)? That's where I thought you were... If so, Alex disables the first field for you. As you go into the building, she should walk over to a console on the right...

Then you can do what I mentioned above.

Alyx won't disable the first shield until you take out the turret in the room iirc. Simply use a grenade.

wow, ok. the trigger apparently didnt fire to release the extra combine soldiers, and so alex wouldnt release the first shield and there was no turret in the main room. I thought the gun rack behind the second shield was going to be some kind of pop-up turret. I bypassed the trigger the first time by jumping onto a car and not going around the winding bend. All worked fine once I reloaded.

Just thought Id give an update so I didnt look like a total fool
