Start up problems

whenever i start TF2 it loads and everything (i've already uninstalled and reinstalled steam and tf2, ive also verified the cache)but it will come up with the Valve screen then go to powered by source. Then it goes back to my desktop and nothing else happens:angry:

Then it's not a problem with TF2.
There are so many issues that could be present, honestly, the easiest and least stressful way to fix the problem would just to be a format and re-install of TF2.
