Status of IRC Channel

I was just wondering, What is the status of the halflife2.net IRC channel on quakenet. I tried to join, but I couldn't get in. Has it been used recently. Should we get it going again?
I'm interested......

The #halflife2 channel is always populated, and has been since...well...ever. There's about 30 people in there now in fact.

It's still very much there. I believe you have to be authed to join, though.
