Steam update

I went to update it and it seemed like it was frozen, so i hit the cacel preloading button thinking it would just cancel that specific preload....turns out i have to start all over again...will this mess anything up?

Only thing it messed up was your progress. Account wise ect, your fine, it will probably override/autofind files, steam knows all.
