steam updates

When Steam does its update on 29th septemer, it causes chaos lots encountered difficulty in playing CS:S or HL-2 .. games turn much choppy, laggy or simply just crashes. So, isn't it just better that Steam never update us?

Lol aren't you the clever one...lets leave as is, choppy and laggy, i personally like the idea of steam and it always keeping my games up to date, they just have to test there patches.

I think the 1 bad patch is enough sacrifice for the decresed loading times, optimizations and AI tweeks we got.

i think these new patches are trying to make up for teh bad one

Come on, can't we trust VALVe by now? They. Will. Fix it!

Obviously not...

Steam is a good idea, Valve hasn't let me down before(excuding release dates), I don't expect them to start.:bounce:

The problem isn’t that they won’t fix it. The problem is that it’s mandatory. If it was updated the way every other game is it would be simple to opt out, wait and see what people are saying about the update and then decide if you want it or want to continue playing the version you have, until a better patch is released.
