Strange TV problem, need help important.

i have a 32inch, sony trinotron TV

its very old, maybe 7 years old. its been great,

yesterday i turn on the TV, and its turns on, but then it turns black, but there is sound, no picture. then it turns back on then it goes black again. it does this for 30 seconds or so maybe a minute then it stops doing it

i noticed it does this only when its been off for a while, i dont konw how tvs work but it might be the tubes or something needing to warm up to work better.

what do you guys think it is. can i fix it befor it breaks completly

7 years isn't that old for a tv. The one I have is 7 years old right now and it is going strong. I plan on keeping it for another 7 years.

I don't know, call a television repair guy. Or better yet, google your problem. All I know is 7 years seems like a short life span for a tv if it is quality made.

I think you've burnt out the ______ (for gods sake, i cant remember what those little test-tube shaped things are [electrodes on the ends])

i have another problem.

im on analoge cable. then all of a sudden my screen goes negative colors.

blakc is white white is black orange is blue and visea versa. wtf, then it fixes again to normal picture. anyway to solve this?
