stuck at light-house on hghwy 17- HELP

Hi,

I have killed the combines and taken out one gunship. A second gunship never came and a human came to the light house but no secret door has been opened.

And I can make the jump down to the tree from the edge but can't go further towards where I'm supposed to go, without falling off...

help.....

so is the guy you meet actually moving at all or does he just stand there and do nothing?

Yup. He just stands there and does nothing. In all the walk-through's it says you have to take down 2 gunships and then a guy will come and open a secret door for you out of the light house.

Well, I took down one gunship, and a second one never came...and the guy in the light house just stands there doing nothing...

?

Reload from an old save. Something happened, or you did, didn't trigger an event to happen, so the gunship didnt arrive nor does the medic help you.

it's possible he missed one of the combines from the previous dropship. i think killing all of them triggers the 2nd dropship.

btw there's only one gunship, which appears after you kill all the combines in the 2nd dropship

there are three dropships to deal with, behind the barn, in the road and on the lighthouse, i'm not sure that you actually have to kill all the combine before the gunship appears, if i get tie i'll go back and play it to see - but you actually have to kill the gunship for this guy to appear, reloading an old save point and playing through again should solve the problem

I re-loaded from an earlier save and it worked...must've been some kinda glitch cause I went around for a half hour and checked everything, and there was no one and nothing left to kill-

oh well now I'm stuck at the beginning of nova prospect at the beach with all the machine gun towers...

I have always seen 4 dropships (one in the middle of town, one on the road into town, one off the cliff, and one next to the lighthouse door) and one gunship. Don't trust walk throughs, the one that comes with the gold package told me thats the big stride fight out side the combine supressor build was endless (limitless striders) and its not, I would have loved that
