Stuck at White Forest Inn ambush

Hey peeps ,

I'm playing game on hard setting, I've got to the ambush at the Inn, killed all combine troops and so far 6 hunters that run down the hill, the problem i'm having is the hunters allways seem to collect at a point where i can hardly see them, i have to peek through a window to catch a glimpse of them. I've read on this forum that Alex needs to say about the force field wire, but how do you get her to start this, i'm allmost out of ammo so can't kill many more hunters.

Any help would so i can continue this game would be great.

Get a good hiding spot and wait for the combine to come in at you, instead of having a shootout. Then when you finish off the 3hunters in the end of the sequence theres a door in the basement, and in the main room that are opened. Go through one of these, and then go back up the hill you came down and go into the building that resembles a garage, next to the gas pumps. Then you should be able to figure the rest out.

Conserve your ammo as much as possible. Lure the Hunters into the building and take them out with the radiators and other heavy objects that are laying around. 3 hits from and raditor and they are down. If you are close enough you can hit them, grab it again quickly and hit them again. They go down pretty fast that way with little time to get a shot off at you.

You can do a lot the same thing with the Combine Soldiers, but they coordinate their attacks much better in this episode, so you'll need more stradegy. Lure them into choke points and then nade them with the MP7. Try to keep something between you and them so you can strafe out quick and shotty them to the head. If you can, get upstairs so you only have to focus on the stairway.

Stay away from the windows, if at all possible. There are simply too many Combine soldiers, and they'll turn you into a piece of Swiss cheese. Lure them into the building, where you have a much greater advantage and you can fight them one or two on one.

As for the Hunters, use the radiators and anything else. Use double shotgun blasts if you lose all your physics props. Don't forget that there are some supplies near the stairwell, in the basement, and in the fireplace.

save your explosives(smg grenade,pulse charge)for hunters,the soldiers and elites can be brought down with easy pumps from the shotgun,or the 6-shooter works nicely,long range soldiers crossbow target practice
