stuck,,for 4 days

Im at the end of a tunnel,,helicopter killin me everytime i exit.,water ends to my left with no where to go,,water ends to my right,,looks like a dam with several openings,,,wooden post in front of openings,,,but with what life i have left after the copter is making swiss cheese outta me,,,I cant jump high enough to get to these oppenings,,i can get on the post's but still cant jump high enough. I have just came thru a tunnel with radiation,,just a little hint would be nice,,4 days here id like to move on...thanks for your time.. ;(

I shot down the first helicopter and opened the gate #5 then another helicopter comes alone and pins me under a bridge,,when i finally make it to a tunnel that has radiation on the ground i have to walk as high as i can in the tunnel to keep from being fried,,at the end of the tunnel is the helicopter again,,to my left seems to be a dead end to my right is a row of post with planks nailed to them and a wall i cant jump high enough to get upon,,i can see at a distance several inlets or outlets where water could come out of or go into,,but i cant get up to them..

There should be a valve that you have to turn which opens the gates, then you use the log to jump into the opening with your air-boat.

Uh.. do have an airboat? Or did you do this whole chapter on foot?!

most of the chapter on foot,,i came to a place prior to gate #5 and couldnt cross so i went on foot.

Oh dear, this reminds me of when I dumped the buggy before oneof those blue force fields that I couldn't be bothered shutting down. I think you should restart the chapter, there is an airboat that you can use by pressing E.

You're supposed to use the airboat all the way till the end of the chapter :/
