Stuck: Helicopter episode

Folks, need help.

I'm near the end of Chapter 4. I've dealt with the Combine assault (after the Advisor escapes), hopped back in the car and driven among the train cars, while being chased by a helicopter. I've passed through the twin tunnels and taken a jump with the car.

Now I'm at a seemingly dead end (some rocks have collapsed and closed the tunnels). There are a few zombies near a fire - they aren't a problem. The helicopter keeps hovering above, taking potshots at me if I break cover. But how do I continue?

From what I've read, I'm supposed to reach a place where the car breaks, a member of the resistance meets me and then I get to fight the chopper. But I'm not there yet - at least I don't think so, because the car still works and nobody has met me.

So, what now?

Uhm, what road? After I exit the twin tunnels (autosave point), I can go only straight forward. I'm on the rails, in some kind of concrete canyon. I have to jump a ramp with the car, in order to continue - but I can swerve neither left, nor right.

Nevermind, found it. It's actually to the right - very much to the right. It's not a road, it doesn't lead up - it's just a barricade very much before the place I had reached before (when I was stuck).
