stuck in entanglement

Alyx has sent me on and opened a couple of gates and then says look at monitor, few people to kill, then round 2 corners,another force field. I can see cable goes to switch in small office, but can't shoot or break the glass at all. Been back to beginning where you drop down from the vent and can't find another way. Any ideas?? Thanks

This the part with the small room that the cable goes into that you can't get into? There should be a table with heaps of grenades on it, if so.

Throw some grenades through the barrier into the room. They explode and should knock the power cable out.

Ditto, thats what you are supposed to do. Grenades always go through the fields.
