Stuck in "Follow Freeman."

I'm at the part where you destroy the three generators in that building, I have destroyed two of them but one of them has a secret passage or something which I cannot find. I have looked at every single nook and cranny in the building and I can't find a thing as how to get into that room with the remaining generator. Am I missing a switch or a button somewhere? This is so frustrating, I have spent the past two hours looking for something. Anyone know what the secret is?

Well, there is no openable door to the room, and the energy field is blocking my path. Can I turn them off somewhere? Maybe i'm just retarded?

secret passage - aka - going through an a/c vent, using grav gun on something, aka climbing on a pipe through a broken window, or stacking some ogjects to jump over something. Not necessarily pulling a book on a shelf and opening a secret door leading to the bat cave .

Wow, this is impossible to solve, surely someone knows what I am dealing with. It has to be a glitch because there is no way out. I'm stuck in an endless loop. The first screen is of the steel mechanism of mystery, it looks like a door and behind it there is a high pitched beeping noise. It won't open, I have tried it all. The second is of the hall blocked by the energy field. The third is the corridor of mystery, lots of doors that don't open and a turret. I am absolutely stumped. Help would be appreciated greatly, I have tried to access the room for about three hours now. I'm done trying.

Your gonna shoot yourself, go back to where you came from, down the front steps and up the other side, the gen is just around the corner.


EDIT: if you've been trying to acess it for 3 hours theres a chance whatever scripted sequence to take down a forcefeild blocking your path didnt execute for some reason.

It's this generator, the other two are blown up, all the energy fields are still up. I'm fed up with it for now, I'm gonna get some sleep before I break something. To the right of this generator is that hallway I showed you in the previous screen shots. To the left is that big steel door and the dead end corridor with the single turret. Maybe i'll just replay the whole sequence again tommorrow and it will work properly. :x

You should be able to circle around.....but I don't really know how to explain it to you via text. Meh!

I had the same problem but I just went around in circles until I found it. Took a while but I got it in the end. Wasnt that bad really.

I had the same problem. Your going to have to reload a couple of saves back. In your first screeny that door is supposed to be open. You'll hear barney tell you about secuirity and you should go. You've got the HEV suit.

Make your way in that room without hitting any of the laser tripwires. (Don't worry your team will wait for you to turn off the secuirity). There will be a button at the end to shut off the secuirity.

I got through it finally, i went back to the beginning of that sequence and went to that generator first, and it tok me like 5 minutes. I'm on the roof and blasting some striders...what a relief to get through that can of worms finally. :bounce:
