Stuck in HL2

I'm stuck at the part where you are on the steam pipe and you break the wood and drop down to a window with bars in it. I can't figure out how to get outside. Can anyone help?

Thanks. I got it. The problem is that, apparently, my monitor is taking a puke and I can't see stuff in really dark rooms. The flashlight in the game isn't working either.
