stuck in ROUTE KANAL

well the area im in is when i dropped down and hit 3 barrels....i killed the things with the wings....now theres water too....under 1 of the ladders is water but if u look up you see a big red hole....now i looked around that whole area and the big red hole seems to be the place to go....now theres barrels too and u need something to get up to that hole....now ive tried stacking the barrels and trying to go up but im havin a hard time here....now all i wanna know is are u supposed to go up that red hole to go to safety?...coz theres nowhere else to go.....now i dont want this in detail cuz i wanna fugure it out....hope someone knows what im talkin about here....

Its easier to help if you take a couple of screenshots showing the area then attach them to a post, that way, people can see where you are instead of relying on your description (which is a little vague)

how do i take a screenshot?

Press F5 in game to save a .jpeg file of what your screen is showing. The file will be saved in your hl2 folder in a "screenshots" subfolder.

sir i dont c a screenshots folder....is it in the valve directory?

1 other thing....F5 is the quicksave feature....cant be in there

Then set a key for screenshot in the control options menu

I think he's at the section where you drop down into that large room filled with explosive barrels, and manhacks suddenly come and attack you.

Anyways, what you need to do is go into the attached room using the tunnel on the upper level (near where the manhacks initially attacked you), find a valve on a large vertical pipe, turn that, then head back into the main room and swim through the red tunnel.

cypher i didnt want the answer man....all i wanted to know is if u gotta go through that red opening or tunnel....but thanks anyway
