Stuck in sandtraps, machinegun nests

I have had the ant lions for a bit, Ive been going along the beach for a while and there are just the turrets with guns and shields, I just kept going as far as i could but then the beach ended so i figured i had to swim, there was something in the water that killed me, so i left it there. Ive been up and down the beach, but do I do up by one of the turrets or something?

Coool what killed you in the water??? screenshot plz? Was it that thing we see when the teleporter is going crazy.

really need a screen shot there but if you go all the way to the end of the beach you will eventually have to climb up the side of the cliff there should be a place with a fire and a zombie by a tied up boat knock over the timbers holding up the roof and it will fall down and act as a ramp

I'm home for thanksgiving but ill work on a screenshot. Its that first long beach when you have the antlions, there a just like 5 or 6 machineguin nests on the rock wall and ill look for that spot you mentioned. In the water, It was in the ocean I swam out a little ways, I saw little floaty things in the water, I dont know about those, but I was swimming becasue my health was gone from those nests, but then I was dead, no gunfire or anything, I just went under water so lots of oxygen???? When I get back Ill get a screenshot of the spot.

Those little floaty things would be leeches, veeerrry deadly little buggers

Leeches were very weak in HL1

i was stuck there too, also tried to swim^^, then i figured out, there is a path between 2 of those mg-nests that lets you go behind them
