Stuck in water hazard can't find the boat!?

I have opened up the huge lock doors from the tower but I cannot find the "supposed" gun boat ?!

the boat is further back. Where you killed the zombies and water started...

Don't think we are talking about the same part, I'm at the part where you open the flood gates, or whatever they are, then there are 2 oil tankers at one end and a chopper that appears, at the end of this is an radioactive tunnel

You dont get an Armed Airboat til later on...you need to retrace your steps and go back to where you left the Airboat.

The chopper that is bothering you while in the tower with the Lock controls can be taken out by the Machine guns mounted there BTW.
