[stuck] Mossman + lift

I'm stuck in a stupid way just after met Mossman:

The lift don't move - no way to talk to her - no active panel - nothing* I guess I missed someting :hmph:

She's suppose to follow you in there. You may have missed the trigger, load from last save and try again.

Buying an original should solve the problem.

The aux power bar is red, isn't that a trait of warez copies? Anyway, to fix this problem, head down to your local shop and BUY half-life 2. Problem solved.

Red aux power bar just means power is low. Probably had his flashlight on.

Not every problem is caused by having a warez copy. Plenty of AI-scripting glitches pop up in the retail version.

In any case, this question was answered in this forum (or one of the hl2.net forums).

Symptom: In Half Life 2, when you reach the fifth chapter (Black Mesa East) you get stuck trying to go down the elevator, the character: Dr.Mossman doesn't get in the elevator and just stands there.


Cause: Contrary to what most people have been thinking, the bug is not caused because you have an illegal version of the copy of Half Life 2. Many users who have bought the original game disc are facing the exact same problem. The problem is most likely caused by a glitch, which doesn't execute the proper AI Scripting for the character, thus causing nothing to happen.


Solution: The solution to this problem isn't quite complicated as one may think. To fix the problem, walk into the elevator and press the F6 and F9 Keys one after the other. If it doesn't work try moving to various locations inside the elevator and then pressing the keys. Remember, first press the F6 and then press the F9 Key. Keep doing this until the problem is fixed. I have tried this solution on various copies and various systems and they all fix the problem just fine! Happy Gaming!
