Stuck on Chapter 12 "Follow Freeman"

As soon as I enter the door and it loads Chapter 12 it automatically comes up with a "mission failed" statement and reloads to my last save point. Am I missing something. I am almost through the game and would like to know if anyone has had the same problem. Thanks

Follow Freeman starts when you go through a doorway (The sniper bit).

Have you tried starting the chapter from the new game menu?

i will try starting from the new game menu, its a legit version, am i supposed to have a squad with me at this point. its right at the end of chapter 11 after the moving platform. i get to the top balcony and go through a doorway i can see some stairs, right after it finishes loading it comes up with a mission failed before i can even do anything
