stuck on "follow freeman"

I'm at the part in follow freeman where your in a sort of bombed out street with a load on convent guys and a few walkers , this is after you leave the courtyard part (there's a huge horse statue thing in the distance)

Apparently I'm supposed to meet barney and dog , but I can't find where I'm supposed to go, I've been listening to the gun rattle from the walkers and convent dudes for the last hour and its giving me a serious headache, any help?

i tried to use noclip to meet the dog and barney but the script doesnt move anywhere...

Or how far into the level are you, what was the last notable thing you did/saw?
I thought it was pretty linear until after the big fight you have with the striders on the roof, it took me a minute to notice where I was supposed to go after that.

I passed it now (finished the game actually)

what you need to do is destroy all the striders with the rockets on the roof of one of the buildings (took me a while to find)
then you crawl along a bunch of metal girders to where there's a crack in the wall and jump down (easy to find if you look for it)

Yeah, first, make your way to the roof of the building, open the rocket ammo case, and take down the Striders. Then, you have to move along the roof until you come to some metal girders that bring you to a blown up wall, which you must drop down into the street and run along and, well, don't want to spoil it.

Convent guys? Father Gregori is in Ravenholm.. I never saw him in the city. Where are you talking about?

I think he means Combine, but got confused with Halo and HL2.

When you jump down at the street below and killed a few combines at met up with Dog and Barney!

Now what!????

I have searched the place with noclip and without but dont se any way out...

Help me!

He is just standing there and waging his head! nothing more nothing less! A walked up to Dog but nothing happens....

Tried to restart the game but no difference! What to do???

Coud be a script error. Dog and barney are supposed to walk up to the citadel walls and dog lifts the wall up and you go into a hole. Load from your last savepoint and that will correct the script error if there is one.

you've tried moving closer to the base of the citadel? judging by the picture it should be behind you. walk right up to the base of the citadel. if dog doesn't do anything then you may have to load a previous autosave...

OK, I have the same f**ing stupid error. I guess Ill have to take all those striders down again. Hope it works then. anyone solved this?

Ok i got through it by using noclip, there is a hole under the entrance to the cathedral or whatever. But its anyway in the end of the chapter so you might as well skip to the next one. (i guess some weapons might go missing but they do anyway.....
